Fix Website Email That Lands in Spam in Queen City
Separate website message generation from sender authentication and recipient filtering, then test the actual path from the site to several mail providers.
A website can generate an email correctly and still have that message filtered later.
The diagnosis needs to separate the website form, sending service, domain authentication, and recipient mailbox.
Confirm the site actually sends
Use a controlled test submission and check whether the website records the submission or logs a successful mail handoff.
A form success message only proves what the application reports. It does not prove inbox delivery.
Check the sender identity
Website forms should normally send from an address or domain the sending system is authorized to use.
Using a visitor's arbitrary address as the message's From identity can create authentication and alignment problems.
The visitor's address can instead be preserved as a Reply-To value when that fits the application.
Review SPF, DKIM, and DMARC in context
Current Gmail sender guidance recommends domain authentication and notes that SPF should include the legitimate systems sending for the domain.
DKIM verifies a cryptographic signature from the signing domain.
DMARC evaluates whether authenticated SPF or DKIM identities align with the visible From domain.
These controls help receivers evaluate mail; they do not guarantee inbox placement.
Test more than one destination
Send controlled tests to different receiving providers when possible.
Compare headers, authentication results, spam placement, and rejection messages.
A problem affecting only one provider may involve that provider's filtering rather than the form itself.
Preserve submissions independently
Where the application supports it, storing form submissions separately from email reduces the chance that a delivery problem silently discards customer inquiries.
