How I write a blog post in 2026.
A short note on writing blog posts in 2026.
First, I start with an empty desktop.

Then I open the terminal: the minimal, beautiful Omarchy Terminal.

Then I use a custom Python script to generate the empty .md template, custom-made for this site.

See? There it is! (The template)

I open the directory in Neovim...

And I start writing the actual blog post in the terminal.

Does it seem a little complex? These days, I'm becoming more familiar with Vim/Neovim. Working through the terminal can be extremely productive once you get used to it.
It becomes a matter of commands and workflows all tied to one simple interface. Working primarily in the terminal allows not only greater control over the computer's systems (and whatever you are designing), but also enables you to work in the same way on remote systems via SSH.
Admittedly, it can be a bit lonely in a Windows-centric world, made more difficult by the fact that attention spans (due to technology) are at an all-time low, and most readers won't even make it this far.
But if you have made it this far -- behold! The future is Linux! And the TERMINAL is still the most advanced interactive environment on the machine.
After that last line, I launched OpenCode in the terminal (an AI agent) and asked for a quick spellcheck. It ran the spellcheck over the file.
After this, I will simply run a command, and it will dial in to the site's API and push the post to the latest.
