## Check discovery before content changes

## Check the technical blockers

- canonical references;

- redirects;

Robots.txt and `noindex` solve different problems. Blocking crawling does not work the same way as explicitly telling a search engine not to index a crawlable page.

## Check whether Google is choosing another URL

If several URLs contain substantially the same content, Google may select a different canonical URL.

That does not always mean something is broken, but it matters when the business expects a specific URL to appear.

Make the preferred page internally consistent: link to it, use the intended canonical, and avoid unnecessary duplicates.

## Fix the cause, then request another look

After correcting the underlying problem, the page can be rechecked and, where appropriate, submitted for recrawling through Search Console.

No technical repair can guarantee indexing. Search engines still decide what to crawl, index, and serve.
