Computer repair is a delicate art. We approach it with the greatest respect and care. Here is the process that you can expect when we repair your computer or laptop.

1. Quote#

First, you must agree on our pricing.

What to expect:

  • Hourly rate
  • Parts / shipping (to be determined in the next step)

2. Parts Research#

We will quickly do the necessary research to find the compatible part for your computer.

  • This is a highly important and sensitive step. In some cases, we may require time to check with suppliers and compare prices.
  • We primarily source parts through eBay and Amazon.
  • This research is included in our hourly rate.
  • In some cases, we might have to open your device to identify the exact part if it is not obvious via make/model research.

3. Verification#

We will provide a final quote based on the Hourly Rate + Parts & Shipping.

4. Part Arrival#

Once we proceed, we must wait for the part to arrive. This typically takes a few days to a week. Switchboard Tech Services LLC has little control over shipping speeds, and while you may pay for expedited shipping, we generally do not encourage the extra expense.

5. The Repair#

We will call you as soon as the part arrives. In many cases, we can complete the repair the same day it arrives. Repairs require a minimum of 1 hour of labor.
