Tor: Can Tor hide my physical location?

Short answer

Tor hides your home IP address from sites you visit through Tor Browser and makes a site see a Tor exit location instead. It cannot hide a location you publish, share through an account, or reveal through another app. Your local network can often tell that you connect to Tor unless you use a bridge or other circumvention method.
