Switch to Brave Browser Reason #8: Strip known tracking parameters from web addresses
A link can carry campaign and identity markers in its URL.
Why this matters
A link can carry campaign and identity markers in its URL. Passing it along can spread those markers farther. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave removes known tracking-related query parameters during navigation.
Take action
Use Brave for links you open and share. Check sensitive links yourself because no filter recognizes every custom parameter. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
