Why this matters

A protected laptop does little if the same trackers collect your browsing from your phone. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.

Take action

Use the protection on each device you actually browse with and review platform-specific settings. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
