Switch to Brave Browser Reason #41: Separate a temporary visit from cookies saved by a tracking intermediary
A tracking redirect can plant storage during a brief visit that was never meant to be a real stop.
Why this matters
A tracking redirect can plant storage during a brief visit that was never meant to be a real stop. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave's unlinkable bouncing uses temporary storage in some suspect redirect situations.
Take action
Open links in Brave and avoid treating every redirect as harmless. This limits one collection path, not all tracking after arrival. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
