Switch to Brave Browser Reason #38: Limit what embedded content learns about your visits

A video, widget, or embedded login can reveal your visit to a company you never opened directly.

Why this matters

A video, widget, or embedded login can reveal your visit to a company you never opened directly. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.

The protection

Brave's tracker lists, storage limits, and social blocking controls reduce some of that exposure.

Take action

Review embedded content before loading it and use social blocking where it fits. An embed you actively use may still communicate with its provider. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
