Switch to Brave Browser Reason #37: Reduce the chance that third-party ad code runs on a page
Outside ad scripts increase the number of parties executing code while you read a page.
Why this matters
Outside ad scripts increase the number of parties executing code while you read a page. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Shields blocks many third-party ad resources and can replace certain problematic scripts with more private versions.
Take action
Use Shields as one layer of defense and keep the browser updated. First-party scripts and unblocked resources may still run. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
