Switch to Brave Browser Reason #32: Get warnings about known phishing sites

A convincing fake login page can take a password and then your accounts.

Why this matters

A convincing fake login page can take a password and then your accounts. Speed matters when a warning appears. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.

The protection

Brave uses Safe Browsing to warn about known phishing sites.

Take action

Leave Safe Browsing enabled and stop when a warning appears. A new phishing page can exist before it reaches a blocklist. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
