Switch to Brave Browser Reason #30: Use Brave Search when you want searches without a search profile
Search terms can reveal questions you have never told another person.
Why this matters
Search terms can reveal questions you have never told another person. They deserve more care than a routine marketing signal. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave Search is available in Brave and states that it does not profile search users.
Take action
Select Brave Search in settings if you want it as your default. Brave Browser alone does not stop another search engine from processing your queries. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
