Switch to Brave Browser Reason #29: Avoid Chromium advertising features Brave has removed
Browser-level ad technology can normalize tracking as infrastructure, beyond the scripts on any one page.
Why this matters
Browser-level ad technology can normalize tracking as infrastructure, beyond the scripts on any one page. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave documents removal of privacy-harming Chromium features including Topics and related advertising APIs.
Take action
Choose a browser whose defaults resist those mechanisms, and keep it updated as standards change. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
