Switch to Brave Browser Reason #27: Keep synced browsing data encrypted on your devices
Bookmarks, tabs, and history can sketch your private life.
Why this matters
Bookmarks, tabs, and history can sketch your private life. Syncing them should not automatically expose them to a provider. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave says Sync encrypts data on the client before it moves between devices.
Take action
Use Brave Sync only on devices you control and protect each device. Anyone with access to an unlocked synced device can still see its data. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
