Switch to Brave Browser Reason #26: Reduce the information your browser sends to its vendor
The browser is present for every site you visit.
Why this matters
The browser is present for every site you visit. Its own background requests deserve scrutiny. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave says it limits background network calls and does not collect or retain browsing history under its browser privacy policy.
Take action
Read the current privacy policy and turn off optional services you do not want. Some features still process data needed to function. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
