Why this matters

Permanent device permissions can outlive the call or task that justified them. The next visit may expose more than you intended. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.

The protection

Brave offers temporary access choices such as a single session or 24 hours for supported permissions.

Take action

Choose the shortest useful permission and review old grants. A site can still record audio or video while you intentionally allow access. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
