Switch to Brave Browser Reason #20: Clear a site's cookies when you leave with Forgetful Browsing
A site you visited once can retain identifiers and recognize you months later without providing any lasting benefit.
Why this matters
A site you visited once can retain identifiers and recognize you months later without providing any lasting benefit. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Forgetful Browsing clears a selected site's storage after you close it.
Take action
Enable 'Forget me when I close this site' for sites you do not need to stay signed into. It will log you out and can reset preferences. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
