Switch to Brave Browser Reason #19: Stop a tracking link from becoming a permanent trail between sites
Redirects and URL markers can connect a newsletter click to later browsing, even when the pages themselves seem unrelated.
Why this matters
Redirects and URL markers can connect a newsletter click to later browsing, even when the pages themselves seem unrelated. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave combines known-parameter filtering with bounce-tracking defenses.
Take action
Open links in Brave and inspect unusually long URLs before sharing them. Unknown or site-specific markers may survive. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
