Switch to Brave Browser Reason #1: Block third-party trackers before they record your browsing
A tracker embedded in a page can learn that you visited even though you never chose to deal with that company.
Why this matters
A tracker embedded in a page can learn that you visited even though you never chose to deal with that company. Repeated visits can become a detailed record of your interests. Privacy is easier to defend before this information is collected than after it has spread.
The protection
Brave Shields blocks many known third-party tracker requests before the page loads, cutting off collection at the browser.
Take action
Use Brave for everyday browsing and inspect the Shields icon on a page you know carries ads. Signing in to a site still identifies you to that site. Brave reduces common tracking, but a site you sign in to still knows what you do there. Ordinary browsing also reveals your IP address to the destination.
