# Omarchy OS: How do I set up Git in Omarchy?

Set your Git name and email, then authenticate to your code host if needed.

In a terminal, run `git config --global user.name "Your Name"` and `git config --global user.email "you@example.com"`. Omarchy includes Lazygit for a visual terminal interface. For GitHub, `gh auth login` starts CLI authentication when you use `gh`.
