# Omarchy OS: How do I restore a configuration file to its default?

Use Update > Config in the Omarchy menu for the affected file.

The menu can restore an individual user configuration. Back up any custom changes first and pick only the file you mean to reset. `omarchy reinstall configs` is a broader reset that replaces all Omarchy default configurations.
