# Omarchy OS: Why is my password being rejected after several attempts?

Repeated failed attempts can temporarily lock your account.

Check keyboard layout and Caps Lock first. If account lockout is the cause, Omarchy’s troubleshooting guide explains how to use a TTY and `faillock --reset --user your-username` from an authorized root login. Avoid repeated guesses while the account is locked.
