# Omarchy OS: What hardware do I need to run Omarchy?

Omarchy needs hardware that can run its Arch-based, Hyprland desktop; suitability depends especially on graphics and display support.

The official manual does not give one universal CPU, RAM, or storage minimum. Check the [installation instructions](https://omarchy.org/manual/getting-started/) and the [hardware notes](https://omarchy.org/manual/omarchy-on/) for your device before replacing another system. A wired or 2.4 GHz keyboard is needed to enter the disk-encryption password at startup; a Bluetooth keyboard cannot do that job.
