Omarchy OS: How do I keep my dotfiles in Git?
Track copies of your user configuration files in a private Git repository.
Start with the files you actually change under ~/.config, then use a tool such as GNU Stow or a small script to place them on a new machine. Exclude secrets, tokens, and machine-specific state. Omarchy’s dotfiles guide recommends backing up these files as your customization grows.
