Gallery 104: Art on the Square occupies **104 North Franklin Street in downtown Kirksville**. The city's [arts listing](https://visitkirksville.com/t/arts-culture) describes original cards, gifts, art, jewelry and fine crafts by local and regional artists. That range gives visitors a way to encounter work beyond framed paintings and to purchase from artists represented in the space.

A first visit can simply be a browse. If a piece interests you, ask whether it is original, how it should be handled or displayed, and whether the artist has other work available. The gallery's current selection is best checked in person or through its [website](https://gallery104aots.com/).

## First Friday connection

Main Street Kirksville's [September 4, 2026 First Friday listing](https://www.locable.com/connections/81993-main-street-kirksville/events/2026/9/4/539295/first-friday-at-gallery-104-art-on-the-square-104-n-franklin-st-kirksville-mo-63501/) described a free early-evening reception where visitors could browse regional art and talk with others. That is a specific cultural contribution: the gallery gives artists visibility and the public an accessible occasion to see their work. Check the date of any future reception rather than assuming the same program is running every week.

For exhibitions, event details or appointments, use [Gallery 104's website](https://gallery104aots.com/). The city's listing also gives **660-730-5200** and **Gallery104.kirksville@gmail.com** as contact details.
