Kirksville Aquatic Center: Pools, Water Park, Passes and Programs
The Kirksville Aquatic Center has a year-round indoor pool, a seasonal outdoor water park, daily admission, several pass types, water fitness, lessons and rental options.
The Kirksville Aquatic Center is at 801 E. Mill St. inside Rotary Park.
The main planning distinction is simple: the indoor pool is a year-round facility, while the outdoor water park is seasonal.
Hours, admission prices and maintenance closures change often enough that the City's live Aquatic Center page should be checked before a visit.
Indoor pool versus outdoor water park
The City describes the indoor pool as open year-round, subject to scheduled maintenance and other closures.
The outdoor water park operates during a summer season. In 2026, the City posted a May-to-August operating period, but those dates should not be copied forward into a later year.
If swimming is the main reason for the trip, verify which facility is open that day.
Daily admission or a pass?
The City publishes several admission and pass choices.
Current options include:
- daily admission;
- a 10-visit pass;
- monthly indoor pool and fitness passes;
- multi-month indoor options;
- seasonal water-park passes;
- certain add-on options for indoor pass holders.
The exact prices are time-sensitive.
A person who swims once or twice may be better served by daily admission, while frequent lap swimmers, fitness users or households may want to compare passes. Check the current City price table rather than relying on an old screenshot or article.
Water fitness and swimming lessons
The Aquatic Center offers water-fitness programming in the indoor pool and publishes current schedules on its site.
It also offers swimming instruction, including beginner Water Exploration classes and other group or private lesson options. The City currently advertises scholarship assistance for qualifying Water Exploration and group-lesson participants.
Program schedules and registration belong to the live registration system because session dates and availability change.
Birthday parties and private rentals
The facility supports birthday-party reservations and private pool rentals.
Private indoor and outdoor rentals have different rules, prices and seasonal limits. The City currently requires advance notice for private pool rentals, but the live Aquatic Center page should control the lead time and fee when booking.
For broader City facility reservations, see How to Reserve Kirksville Ball Fields and Recreation Facilities.
Smaller outdoor water-play options
Families looking for free or simpler outdoor water play do not necessarily need the full water park.
Kirksville also operates a splash pad and seasonal wading pools. See Kirksville Splash Pads and Seasonal Wading Pools.
Check before leaving home
The Aquatic Center is one of the City facilities where dated information matters.
Before going, verify:
- today's indoor and outdoor hours;
- seasonal status;
- maintenance closures;
- current admission and pass prices;
- program registration availability.
For the surrounding park, see Rotary Park in Kirksville.
