Ancient Web: Tenate92 Kept a Photo Index of Japanese Car Shows from 1990
A Neocities photo index catalogues Japanese car meets and motor shows with dated entries from 1990 to 2006, preserving early tuner and AE92 fan culture.

Tenate92 is an automobile enthusiast's filing cabinet with almost no explanatory prose. The entries are simply dated event names, one after another, tracing a procession of Japanese car shows and owner gatherings across the 1990s and early 2000s.

The index runs backward from an AE92 Owner's Festival at Mochiya in September 2006 through Super GT meetings at Suzuka, the Tokyo Auto Salon, Nagoya Nostalgic Car Show, and dozens of smaller local gatherings. Older listings reach the Nagoya Performance Car Show in January 1990 and events at Suzuka Circuit in 1991.
A series of annual AE92 owners' gatherings gives the gallery a particularly specific personality. The car is the Toyota Corolla/Sprinter chassis generation, and the index follows owner festivals at Mochiya in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006.
A timeline without an algorithm
The events are listed with dates embedded directly in the link text: 20010114 Tokyo Auto Salon, 20030907 sixth AE92 Owner's Festival, 20051119 Nagoya Motor Show. Multi-part galleries have plain numerical suffixes. Visitors can jump to a particular year without tags, interactive filters, or social-media captions.
That formatting is itself useful. It documents the creator's organizational decisions and the relationship between major national shows and smaller local car meets. It is the kind of specialist index that ordinary photo-hosting websites rarely preserve after accounts close.
Other entries name NISMO Festival at Fuji Speedway, Osaka Auto Messe, K-BREAK anniversary events, custom-car shows, motor-sports festivals, and car-audio gatherings. The subject is broad enough to include lowriders, performance tuning, nostalgia events, and racing.
The exact age of the Neocities hosting cannot be inferred from the dates assigned to the photographs. This is a surviving dated collection, not proof that the present address served those pages in 1990. Some individual gallery destinations also did not load in the research browser; the index establishes their labels but not the details of every photograph.
The preservation value is the chronological map of enthusiast events and vehicles that existed before photo sharing became centralized around feeds. What remains is a compact guide to where one person took an interest, year after year.
