Ancient Web: Moon Sisters Kept a Sailor Moon Fan's Kingdom Online
Moon Sisters is a long-running independent Sailor Moon fan site founded in February 2005, preserving character theories, artwork, manga comparisons, FAQs, and fan opinions.

Some fan sites try to cover every character equally. Moon Sisters has a throne, heirs to that throne, and a webmistress who is quite clear about whom the kingdom belongs to.
The creator calls herself Codename Sailor Earth, and the website's full title is Moon Sisters: The Unofficial Site to the Heirs to the Throne. Its central subjects are Chibiusa—also known as Chibi-Usa or Rini—and Kousagi, characters tied to the family and possible futures of Sailor Moon. The homepage says the site has been entertaining fans since February 18, 2005.
The main navigation is gloriously particular. There are sections for different versions and ages of Chibiusa, Kousagi, the Neo Moon family, the guardians around the royal household, and questions about the identities of Sailor Cosmos and Chibi Chibi.
Then the opinions start. Articles debate character relationships and story decisions, with titles that sound less like reference-book entries than arguments a fan has been waiting years to have. The author presents these as personal interpretations grounded in the manga by Naoko Takeuchi and the various anime versions, not as official pronouncements from the franchise.
A fan archive with its own editorial personality
Moon Sisters also organizes things that would be easy to lose in a move to short-form social posts: artwork made or assembled by its creator, character FAQs, humor, downloads, and dedicated comparisons of the Parallel Sailor Moon manga.
The Parallel Sailor Moon section is a good example of this archival impulse. It singles out a side story for closer attention rather than treating every piece of franchise material as another interchangeable image.
Another layer of the homepage documents successive ways people could watch the show online. It names now-shuttered services alongside current ones, producing an accidental history of streaming distribution as seen from a fan's perspective. Those entries are the site's own updates and should be read in that spirit.
The design also preserves an earlier model of fandom: a long table of hand-chosen links, authorial notes, section-specific pages, and a distinctive voice. It is not trying to become a neutral encyclopedia.
A site like this records what one dedicated viewer cared enough to explain, defend, and argue about across years of revisions. That is a different kind of evidence from an official series guide, and it is worth keeping.
