Before a relationship coach could post a daily video, Larry James made a library large enough to keep a visitor reading for a very long evening.

The page is a dense index of advice on communication, jealousy, conflict, forgiveness, dating, and marriage. Articles carry titles ranging from Put the Toilet Seat DOWN! to The ABC's of Celebrating Love! and Is Your Relationship Stranded at Malfunction Junction? A special section addresses singles, while other entries promote the author's books and personal coaching.
James's biography says he had worked as a professional speaker since 1987 and puts the site's arrival online in March 1996. He describes working with John Gray's Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus organization and hosting its America Online chat room. The site therefore connects an earlier dial-in advice community with the open Web.
Pick an article, or spin the wheel
The navigation has a distinctive trick: three ways to select an essay. Visitors can scroll through descriptions, choose from a drop-down menu, or let a random article selector decide what to read. James suggests that a randomly chosen topic might be the one the reader happens to need.
There are also guest testimonials, a bookshop, downloadable and reprint permissions, links to other relationship sites, and navigation for speakers and wedding services. It is both an independent publication and the public front desk for a working professional.
The article menu openly separates guest writers from James's own material, including contributions by Thom Rutledge, Austin Vickers, and others. Its long-running page furniture—image banners, separate columns, promotional buttons, and older sharing links—reveals how it grew over successive Web eras.
These essays represent their authors' advice and viewpoints, not clinical research or a substitute for qualified counseling. Their survival matters as an example of a professional's directly maintained writing archive: an enormous body of short arguments and personal anecdotes available without waiting for a publisher.
